He joined the Church in his tenth year, and entered the Ohio Conference in 1853. His health -failing, he was put on- the superannuated list in 1865, when he retired to the home of his youth, and there slowly declined till his decease, Dec. 26,1866. Mr. Cherrington was a remarkably genial, pleasant, sweet-spirited man. He was true to his convictions, and unwavering in his fidelity to the Church.
