He was converted in early life, and joined a Church in Birmingham. He was licensed to. preach when  quite a young man came to America about 1845, and went to Mexico, where, during the war, he acted for a time as the interpreter of General Scott. He returned to the United States, and became pastor at Lyons Farms N. J., and, afterwards at Keeseville, Waterford, and Amsterdam, N.Y.; the Falls of the Schuylkill, near Philadelphia; Montrose, Pa.; Mansfield, O.; and finally Bridgeton, N. J., He died. June 17, 1881.
