The towns named in this catalogue are all south of Helron; and Chorashan, therefore, is probably identical with the simple ASHAN SEE ASHAN (q.v.) of Simeon (Jos 15:42; Jos 19:7).<\/p>\n<h4 align='right'><i><b>Fuente: Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature<\/b><\/i><\/h4>\n<h2>Chor-ashan<\/h2>\n<p>smoking furnace, one of the places where &#8220;David himself and his men were wont to haunt&#8221; (<span class='bible'>1 Sam. 30:30<\/span>, <span class='bible'>31<\/span>). It is probably identical with Ashan (<span class='bible'>Josh. 15:42<\/span>; <span class='bible'>19:7<\/span>), a Simeonite city in the Negeb, i.e., the south, belonging to Judah.
