Born Teruel, Spain, c.1369; died 28 December  1446. Friend and advisor of antipope Benedict XIII. He was elected in opposition to Martin V by three schismatic cardinals after the death of the antipope Pedro de Luna. Alfonso V of Aragon, who was hostile to Martin, had Munoz solemnly crowned, but the other kingdoms of Europe gave him no support.
