Having been by turns archdeacon of Mans, canon and dean of Notre-Dame, at Paris, he was made cardinal, with the title of St. Silvestre, and of St. Martin des Montagnes, April 12,1281. He died at Rome of the plague in 1287, leaving two letters, of&#8217; which one was printed in the Speculum Carmelitanum, i, 89, and the other in the Bullarium Carmelitanum. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog.
