The servant of Yahweh in Isa 53:2 is without comeliness (hadhar, honor), i.e. there is in his appearance nothing attractive, while he is bowed beneath man&#8217;s sin. Praise is comely (na&#8217;wah, f. of na&#8217;weh; Psa 33:1; Psa 147:1), i.e. suitable or befitting for the righteous, and, therefore, an honor and glory; uncomely parts, aschemona (1Co 12:23), namely, less honorable. See also 1Sa 16:18, a comely person; Son 6:4, comely as Jerusalem. etc.<\/p>\n<h4 align='right'><i><b>Fuente: International Standard Bible Encyclopedia<\/b><\/i><\/h4>\n<h2>Comeliness, Comely<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;elegance of figure, gracefulness, comeliness&#8221; (eu, &#8220;well,&#8221; schema, &#8220;a form&#8221;), is found in this sense in <span class='bible'>1Co 12:23<\/span>. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> akin to A, &#8220;elegant in figure, well formed, graceful,&#8221; is used in <span class='bible'>1Co 12:24<\/span>, of parts of the body (see above); in <span class='bible'>1Co 7:35<\/span> RV, &#8220;(that which is) seemly,&#8221; AV, &#8220;comely;&#8221; &#8220;honourable,&#8221; <span class='bible'>Mar 15:43<\/span>; <span class='bible'>Act 13:50<\/span>; <span class='bible'>Act 17:12<\/span>.
