In Act 4:15, , sumballo, to compare views, discuss; and in Act 25:12, , sullaleo, to talk together. Compare the single passage in the Old Testament (1Ki 1:7).<\/p>\n<h4 align='right'><i><b>Fuente: International Standard Bible Encyclopedia<\/b><\/i><\/h4>\n<h2>Confer, Conference<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p> lit., &#8220;to put before&#8221; (pros, &#8220;towards,&#8221; ana, &#8220;up,&#8221; and tithemi, &#8220;to put&#8221;), i.e., &#8220;to lay a matter before others so as to obtain counsel or instruction,&#8221; is used of Paul&#8217;s refraining from consulting human beings, <span class='bible'>Gal 1:16<\/span> (translated &#8220;imparted&#8221; in <span class='bible'>Gal 2:6<\/span>; AV, &#8220;added &#8230; in conference&#8221;). Cp. the shorter form anatithemi, in <span class='bible'>Gal 2:2<\/span>, &#8220;laid before,&#8221; the less intensive word being used there simply to signify the imparting of information, rather than conferring with others to seek advice. See ADD, IMPART. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;to speak together with&#8221; (sun, &#8220;with,&#8221; laleo, &#8220;to speak&#8221;), is translated &#8220;conferred&#8221; in <span class='bible'>Act 25:12<\/span>; elsewhere of talking with, <span class='bible'>Mat 17:3<\/span>; <span class='bible'>Mar 9:4<\/span>; <span class='bible'>Luk 4:36<\/span>; <span class='bible'>Luk 9:30<\/span>; &#8220;communed&#8221; in <span class='bible'>Luk 22:4<\/span>.
