He studied at Stepney College for four years, and then became, for a time, a supply at East Dereham, Norfolk. Subsequently he preached for another Church in the same county, and afterwards for a Church in Herefordshire. His longest settlement was in Bridport, in Dorsetshire, where he died, February 4,1850. Mr. Coombs was a contributor to the pages of his denominational periodicals, in his attainments as a scholar being of no mean order.&#8221; See (Lond.)
