He entered Jefferson College, Canonnsburg, in 1813; studied theology with Dr. McMillan; was licensed by the Ohio Presbytery; and in 1823 became pastor at Muddy Creek, Butler County, Pennsylvania, where he remained for twenty-seven years. He was installed pastor at Sunbury in his seventy-eighth year, and died in Butler County, December 6, 1867. See Wilson, Presb. Hist.
