He received his first instruction from his father, after which he studied in the Academy of Paris, and in 1728 was elected a member of that institution. His best works are the ceiling of the chapel of the Virgin in the Church of St. Saviour, and the altar-piece in the same chapel, representing The Assumption. He died in 1735. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog.
