He graduated at New Jersey College in 1826, and Princeton Theological Seminary in 1829; was ordained missionary in 1828; was first pastor at Delphi, Indiana, and then supply at Hopewell and Nayburn, also preaching at Graysville, until 1851. He subsequently became a member of the Presbytery of Vincennes, and died at Morning Sun, Iowa, July 18, 1872. See Genesis Cat. of Princeton Theol. He was converted in childhood; licensed to exhort at the age of eighteen; in 1838 to preach, while a student at the Oneida Conference Seminary, and admitted to the Indiana Conference. With the exception of a three years&#8217;  rest as supernumerary, from 1866 to 1869, he labored zealously until his death in 1872.
