According to a theory of De Rossi now generally accepted, based on &#8220;Annals&#8221; of Tacitus, XIII, 32, Lucina was the baptismal name of the wife of Aulus Plautius, Pomponia Graecina, who was accused of holding a foreign superstition but was pronounced innocent when tried by her husband. She was the donor of a crypt.
