He joined the Wesleyans; studied at Richmond College; was preacher for nearly four years at Leicester; then united with the Independents; and in 1855 became pastor at Hallaton and Slawston, in Leicestershire. In 1859 he removed to Heanor; and in 1867 became pastor of the united churches of Repton and Barrow, where he remained until his death, May 29, 1872. See (Lond.) Cong.
