He was converted about 1807; spent the next five years in teaching and study; entered the Virginia Conference in 1812, and was appointed to the Bertie Circuit; in 1814 became private secretary to bishop Asbury; located in 1822, settled in Prince Edward County, and died there, March 8, 1873.
