Episcopal minister, was born in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, in 1836. He was converted in early life; removed to Indiana in 1856; received license to preach soon after; in 1859 entered the South- eastern Indiana Conference; in 1861 enlisted in the Seventieth Regiment Indiana Volunteers; served in the army one year; re-entered the itinerancy, and continued until his death, June 18, 1866.
