He was converted about 1813; began at once to preach; was ordained June 13, 1816, at Preston, Connecticut; in 1818 removed to South Reading (now Wakefield), Massachusetts; in 1829 became pastor of the First Church in Hartford, Connecticut, and died September 17, 1836.
