Unlike his brother, he was a zealous Protestant. See Fuller, Worthies cf England (ed. He was ordained to the curacy of Dewsbury, Yorkshire, in 1788, where he remained six years and a half; thence removed to Bengeworth, Worcestershire, in which he spent a similar period; in 1801 became assistant to the Reverend T.T. Biddulph, at St. James&#8217;s, Bristol, with whom he continued till 1810, when he was preferred to the vicarage of St. Philip&#8217;s by the corporation, at the same time laboring at other places in the vicinity. He died September 7, 1832. See (Lond.)
