Some mss. have this verb in <span class='bible'>Jam 5:4<\/span> for aphustereo, &#8220;to keep back by fraud.&#8221; See BEREFT, DESTITUTE, FRAUD. In the Sept., <span class='bible'>Exo 21:10<\/span>; in some mss., <span class='bible'>Deu 24:14<\/span>. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> translated &#8220;defraud&#8221; in <span class='bible'>1Th 4:6<\/span>, AV (RV, &#8220;wrong&#8221;), the reference being to the latter part of the Tenth Commandment.
