The Eng. word means emphatically disowned, as in the AV [Note: Authorized Version.]  heading to 1Sa 29:1-11, David, marching with the Philistines, is disallowed by their princes. RV [Note: Revised Version.]  gives rejected, as the same Gr. verb is rendered in Mat 21:42, Mar 8:31, Luk 17:25.
