See SCATTER. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> dia, &#8220;through,&#8221; and No. 2, signifies &#8220;to scatter abroad,&#8221; in <span class='bible'>Mat 26:31<\/span>; <span class='bible'>Mar 14:27<\/span>, metaphorically of sheep; in <span class='bible'>Luk 1:51<\/span>, of the proud; in <span class='bible'>Joh 11:52<\/span>, of the &#8220;scattering&#8221; of the children of God; in <span class='bible'>Act 5:37<\/span>, of the followers of Judas of Galilee (AV, &#8220;were dispersed&#8221;); cp.
