He belonged to a nobleman&#8217;s family, and in 1634 joilled the Carmelites in Paris. He was sent to Rome to teach; then went to Malta as inquisitor, but came back to Rome again. In 1656 he was made general of his order, and pope Clement X appointed him qualifier of the holy office. He died at Rome, April 7, 1687, leaving, De Anno Jubilaei (Rome, 1650):  Bibliotheca Thedlogica, etc. (ibid. 1665-76, 7 volumes). See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog.
