It is said (a) of the character of God as &#8220;kind, gracious,&#8221; <span class='bible'>Luk 6:35<\/span>; <span class='bible'>1Pe 2:3<\/span>; &#8220;good,&#8221; <span class='bible'>Rom 2:4<\/span>, where the neuter of the adjective is used as a noun, &#8220;the goodness&#8221; (cp. the corresponding noun chrestotes, &#8220;goodness,&#8221; in the same verse); of the yoke of Christ, <span class='bible'>Mat 11:30<\/span>, &#8220;easy&#8221; (a suitable rendering would be &#8220;kindly&#8221;); (c) of believers, <span class='bible'>Eph 4:32<\/span>; (d) of things, as wine, <span class='bible'>Luk 5:39<\/span>, RV, &#8220;good,&#8221; for AV, &#8220;better&#8221; (cp. <span class='bible'>Jer 24:3<\/span>, <span class='bible'>Jer 24:5<\/span>, of figs); (e) ethically, of manners, <span class='bible'>1Co 15:33<\/span>. See GOOD, GRACIOUS, KIND. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> the comparative degree of eukopos, &#8220;easy, with easy labor&#8221; (eu, &#8220;well,&#8221; kopos, &#8220;labor&#8221;), hence, of that which is &#8220;easier to do,&#8221; is found in the Synoptics only, <span class='bible'>Mat 9:5<\/span>; <span class='bible'>Mat 19:24<\/span>; <span class='bible'>Mar 2:9<\/span>; <span class='bible'>Mar 10:25<\/span>; <span class='bible'>Luk 5:23<\/span>; <span class='bible'>Luk 16:17<\/span>; <span class='bible'>Luk 18:25<\/span>. <\/p>\n<p> Notes: (1) The adverb &#8220;easily&#8221; is included in the translation of euperistatos in <span class='bible'>Heb 12:1<\/span>, &#8220;easily beset,&#8221; lit., &#8220;the easily besetting sin,&#8221; probably a figure from a garment, &#8220;easily surrounding,&#8221; and therefore easily entangling.
