Having gone to Rome to escape his father&#8217;s tyranny, he was noted there as a painter of still life, especially of fish. In 1656 he returned to Spain and soon after founded the Seville Academy. His masterpiece is a &#8220;Saint Francis&#8221; in the Seville cathedral. The Prado has his &#8220;Triumph of Saint Hermengild.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Filia de Francisco le Senior; nascite a Seville, Espania, 1622; mortiva a Madrid, Espania, 1685.
