In the Sept. the word is used, e.g., of a &#8220;full&#8221; week, <span class='bible'>Lev 23:15<\/span>; of altar stones unhewn, <span class='bible'>Deu 27:6<\/span>; <span class='bible'>Jos 8:31<\/span>; of a &#8220;full-grown&#8221; vine tree, useless for work, <span class='bible'>Eze 15:5<\/span>; of the &#8220;sound&#8221; condition of a sheep, <span class='bible'>Zec 11:16<\/span>. <\/p>\n<p> The corresponding noun holokleria is used in <span class='bible'>Act 3:16<\/span>, &#8220;perfect soundness.&#8221; The synonymous word teleios, used also in <span class='bible'>Jam 1:4<\/span>, &#8220;perfect,&#8221; indicates the development of every grace into maturity. <\/p>\n<p> The Heb. shalom, &#8220;peace,&#8221; is derived from a root meaning &#8220;wholeness.&#8221; See, e.g., <span class='bible'>Isa 42:19<\/span>, marg., &#8220;made perfect,&#8221; for text, &#8220;at peace;&#8221; cp. <span class='bible'>Isa 26:3<\/span>.
