A.V. &#8220;children of Ephraim&#8221;), or simply Ephraim (often rendered &#8221; Ephraimites&#8221; in the A.V.);. but in Jdg 12:5 it appears as a rendering of , an Ephrathite (q.v.), meaning thereby, however, an Ephraimite, which is apparently likewise the meaning of the same Hebrews word in 1Sa 1:1; 1Ki 11:26, in both which passages, however, the A.V. regularly Anglicizes &#8220;Ephrathite.&#8221; The  narrative in Judges raises the inquiry whether the Ephraimites had not a peculiar accent orpatois, similar to that which in later times caused &#8220;the speech&#8221; of the Galilaeans to &#8220;betray&#8221; them to the inhabitants of Jerusalem (Mat 26:73).<\/p>\n<h4 align='right'><i><b>Fuente: Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature<\/b><\/i><\/h4>\n<h2>Ephraimite<\/h2>\n<p>efra-im-t (, &#8216;ephrayim; singular , &#8216;ephrath): A member of the tribe of Ephraim (Jos 16:10, etc.).
