In AV [Note: Authorized Version.]  it occurs only in Job 1:1; Job 1:8; Job 2:3 of Job himself, as Job 1:1 one that feared God, and eschewed evil, and in 1Pe 3:11 Let him eschew evil, and do good. The meaning is turn away from (as RV [Note: Revised Version.]  at 1Pe 3:11 and Amer.
