(Echeus, or Etlan), commemorated February 11 in the Irish and Scotch calendars, was bishop of Cluain-foda, in Meath, of royal descent, originally a physician. He seems to have been born cir. A.D. 490, to have lived on the borders of Ossory, and died A.D. 578.<\/p>\n
