He was a disciple of the celebrated John Orodnetsi, and a friend of Gregory Dathevatsi. He was one of the greatest theologians of his century, and professor in a monastery  near Ezenga. He wrote, Instructions how to Administer the Sacraments of Marriage and Baptism:  Explications of the Homilies of St. Gregory Nazianzen:  A Commentary on the Apocalypse:  fourteen Sermons. There is also attributed to him a Commentary on Isaiah. All these works remain in MS. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog.
