He taught theology in his native town and at Bordeaux; afterwards became prior of Agen; and at last definitor of the province of Touraine. He  distinguished himself bv his great knowledge and regular habits. Being suspected as a Jansenist, he returned to. Nantes, where he died in 1685, leaving Defensio Providentiae Divine (Bordeaux, 1657, 3 volumes):  Nova Eloquentiae Methodus (Paris, 1666). See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog.
