He was for some time teacher at the Augustinian monastery in Erfurt, accepted a call in 1813 as court-preacher and sub-regent of the seminary at  Aschaffenburg, and died in 1816, leaving Lehrbuch der christlichen Religion, etc. (Erfurt, 1802; 6th ed. 1826).
