He entered the Passionist Order, 1856 , and was sent to study at Isola, where he died  of consumption. Of a modest and retiring nature, his life was without any miraculous event and his great sanctity was not fully appreciated until after his death , when many miracles occurred at his tomb at Isola di Gran Sasso. Patron of youth, particularly of young religious. Canonized , 1920 .
