In 1825 he became one of the ministers of the High Church. In 1843 he joined the ‘Free-Church movement’ and resigned his preferment. Most of his people went with him, and formed the ‘Free High Church,’ of which he remained minister to the times of his death, October, 1853. He published Sermons (3d ed.
