He graduated at Jefferson College, Pennysylvania, in 1818; was licensed by the Chartiers Presbytery in 1820; in 1821 became pastor at Cadiz, Ohio; in 1850 at Washington, Pennsylvania; and died February 9, 1864. As a preacher he was clear and methodical, though his doctrines and mode of treating them was not according to the modern school. See Wilson, Presb. Hist.
