the adverbial form of HARD, A, No. 2, is used in Mat 19:23<\/span>; Mar 10:23<\/span>; Luk 18:24<\/span> of the danger of riches. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

“with labor, pain, trouble” (akin to mogos, “toil”), is found in some mss. in Luk 9:39<\/span>, instead of No. 3. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

“with difficulty, scarcely, hardly” (akin to molos, “toil”), is used as an alternative for No. 2, and occurs in the most authentic mss. in Luk 9:39<\/span>; it is rendered “hardly” in Act 27:8<\/span>, AV. See DIFFICULTY. <\/p>\n
