the relative pronoun “who,” is sometimes rendered “he that,” e.g., Mat 10:38<\/span>; with the particle an, expressing possibility, uncertainty or a condition, signifying “whosoever,” Mar 3:29<\/span>, AV (RV, “whosoever”); Mar 4:25<\/span>; Mar 9:40<\/span> (with an, in the best mss.). “who even” (No. 1, and the particle ge), indicates a greater in regard to a less, Rom 8:32<\/span>, “He that (spared not).” <\/p>\n

Notes: (1) In Rev 13:10<\/span>, ei tis, “if anyone,” is rendered “if any man” in the RV, for AV, “he that.” <\/p>\n

(2) In Mat 23:12<\/span>, hostis, No. 1, combined with the indefinite pronoun tis (see prceding note), is properly rendered “whosoever,” RV, for AV, “he that.” <\/p>\n
