Note: In <span class='bible'>Act 12:13<\/span>, hupakouo, lit., &#8220;to hearken,&#8221; with the idea of stillness, or attention (hupo, &#8220;under,&#8221; akouo, &#8220;to hear&#8221;), signifies &#8220;to answer a knock at a door,&#8221; RV, &#8220;to answer&#8221; (AV, &#8220;to hearken&#8221;).
