De Saulcy inclines to identify it with a village called Kirkeh, which he reports not far southeast of Akka (Narrative, 1, 68); and Schwarz (Palestine, p. 191) thinks it is the modern Yerka, about seven miles north-east of Akka; but neither of these positions is in the neighborhood indicated by the text, which rather requires a locality nearer the north-eastern angle of the tribe, not unlikely at the ruined village Ukrith, about twelve miles S.E. of Tyre, as proposed by Van de Velde (Memoir, p. 320).
