He arrived at Philadelphia shortly after the close of the American Revolution. He was a tailor by trade. He graduated at, Dickinson College in 1792, was ordained at Greencastle in 1794-95, went south on a missionary tour, and returned to Greencastle in May, 1795. In 1796 he was installed pastor of Hopewell, Union, and Ebenezer, remaining in this connection until a short time previous to his death, which occurred May 30, 1832. See Sprague, Annals of the Amer.
