Hoeschelius, David<\/h2>\n

an eminent Greek scholar, born at Augsburg in 1556, was professor at St. Anne’s College, and, later, the librarian of his native city. He died Oct. 30, 1617. He deserves a notice here on account of his valuable editions of some of the Greek fathers, and of a number of Greek authors who have written in the department of Christian antiquity and ecclesiastical history.
