He was Dr. McDowel&#8217;s colleague in Mary&#8217;s Abbey, Dublin, ordained co-pastor in 1791, and died in January 1843. He was intrusted by the synod of Ulster with the management of much of its public business, &#8220;and was remarkable for his tact and shrewdness.&#8221; He was one of the first missionary agents of the synod, and was also appointed by it on the committee for the preparation of a code of discipline.
