C.) and Wattenbach (W.) issued a new edition of it in Pertz, Script. 8, 565-630, and the following opinion of the author is expressed by them: Satis habeamus nosse, auctorem operis fuisse virum inter medias res versatum, acrem judicio, veritatis studiosum: hoc enim totum ejus dicendi genus, hoc simplex et sincera rerum narratio suadent.
