A translation of Luke for the twelve hundred Protestants of Uvea, and two tribes in New Caledonia, was prepared by Reverend S. Ella, and printed in 1868. Mr. Ella has continued since, assisted by a native pundit, in the preparation of the New Test., which was printed at Sydney in 1878, and to which were added the Psalms in 1879.
