Various other suggestions regarding the name have been made, as that Gazez, the name preceding, should be Jahdai (Houbigant, ad loc.); that Jahdai was a concubine of Caleb (Grunenberg quoted by Michaelis, Adnof. ad loc.), etc.; but these are mere groundless suppositions (see Burrington, 1, 216; Bertheau, Comment. ad loc.).<\/p>\n
