He graduated from Hampden-Sidney College in 1821; became pastor of Bethesda and adjoining churches, S.C., in 1824; at Providence and Sharon in 1839; principal of a female academy at Charlotte, N. C., in 1845, pastor there in 1846, and died January 25, 1855.
