When Gideon&#8217;s army came to the water side, some drank of it with the hand quickly, to be ready without delay to follow Gideon; while the thousands of fainthearted, that were sent away, stooped down to drink with so much tardiness and ceremony as to show that then- hearts were not with Gideon in his contemplated enterprise.
