He graduated from Columbia College in 1825; was engaged in mercantile pursuits for twenty years; ordained deacon in 1848; assistant at St. Clement&#8217;s Church, N.Y.; rector of Emmanuel Church, in the same city, from 1849 to 1865, and died there, May 17, 1878.
