In many places the RV translates otherwise, and chiefly by the verb to become, e.g., <span class='bible'>Mat 25:6<\/span>, &#8220;there is;&#8221; <span class='bible'>Mat 27:24<\/span>, &#8220;was arising;&#8221; <span class='bible'>Joh 1:14<\/span>, &#8220;became;&#8221; <span class='bible'>Joh 2:9<\/span>, &#8220;become;&#8221; <span class='bible'>Rom 1:3<\/span>, &#8220;born;&#8221; <span class='bible'>Rom 2:25<\/span>, &#8220;is become;&#8221; <span class='bible'>Rom 10:20<\/span>, &#8220;became;&#8221; <span class='bible'>Gal 3:13<\/span>, &#8220;having become;&#8221; <span class='bible'>Gal 4:4<\/span>, &#8220;born&#8221; (twice); <span class='bible'>Heb 3:14<\/span>, &#8220;are become;&#8221; <span class='bible'>Heb 7:22<\/span>. &#8220;hath &#8230; become.&#8221; <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;to lie,&#8221; is sometimes used as the Passive Voice of tithemi, &#8220;to put;&#8221; it is translated &#8220;is (not) made&#8221; in <span class='bible'>1Ti 1:9<\/span>, of the Law, where a suitable rendering would be &#8220;is (not) enacted.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p> Notes: (1) In <span class='bible'>2Pe 2:12<\/span>, AV, the verb genao, &#8220;to beget,&#8221; in the Passive Voice, to be born, is translated &#8220;made&#8221; (RV, &#8220;born&#8221;).
