He studied at Halle, was in 1809 professor and in 1814 pro-rector at St. Elizabeth&#8217;s, in Breslau. He died Aug. 19,1855. He is the author of, Staats- und Religionsgeschichte der Konigreiche Israel und Juda (Breslau, 1853):  Religion und Staatsidee in der vorchristlichen Zeit (edited by Wuttke, Leipsic, 1872).
