(Sept. , Gen 36:13; . ib. Gen 36:17; , 1Ch 1:37.) The first named of the four sons of Reuel, the son of Esau, and a prince (A.V. &#8220;duke&#8221;) among the Edomites (Gen 36:13; Gen 36:17). B.C. cir. 1890.<\/p>\n<p>2. (Sept.  v.r. , ) A Kohathite Levite, son of Zophai or Zuph, and ancestor of Samuel the prophet (1Ch 6:26). B.C. cir. 1280. He is the same with TOAH (1Ch 6:34) and TOHU (1Sa 1:1).<\/p>\n<p>3. (Sept. .) A Levite, appointed by Hezekiah one of the overseers of sacred offerings in the Temple under Cononiah and Shimei (2Ch 31:13).
