He graduated at Yale College in 1780; was ordained pastor in Franklin, Conn., March 13, 1782, where he remained until his death, May 26, 1852. He did full parochial duty until his ninety- fourth year, and was in many respects a worthy branch of that noble family to which he belonged. He published a number of occasional Sermons.
